Coach Houston Ballet Flats

Happy New Year!

I’m excited to share with you guys two shoes I just ordered that are currently on sale. I’m super excited to receive them. Not only do they look stylish, but they’re supposed to be comfortable as well.

I was able to try on the Coach Houston Ballet Flats in person and opted for a half size larger. The Coach Houston Ballet Flats were not as supportive as I’d like. You can feel there is a little cushion in it, but like most flats, not much support. So I purchased insoles from Target, and plan on wearing them inside the flats. Hence, I ordered a half size larger.

The reviews said they are larger than true to size. However, when I tried on the 7s (my regular size), they felt true to size. I’ve never purchased insoles before, and I’m actually excited to try them out. The specific insoles I purchased were marketed to help with walking longer without muscle fatigue.

I also bought the FitFlop SHUV Tumbled-Leather Clogs. Apparently, FitFlops are super comfortable. They feature an ergonomic design and use advanced comfort technology. Another purchase I’m excited to try.

I love shoes. However, the older I get, comfort is now more of a priority than how it looks. That said, I still want it to look good.. It’s just first and foremost, I have to be able to walk in them all day. And I’m tired of wearing sneakers. I want something a little more elevated and dressier yet comfortable.

I feel like the FitFlop SHUV Tumbled-Leather Clogs will fit the bill for comfort and style. They are the perfect everyday casual shoe that looks good and (hopefully) feels good.

I’ll update this post when I receive them and let you know how comfortable they are.

Update: I received the shoes, and I only kept one pair. They are the Coach Houston ballet flats. As mentioned before, I bought them half a size bigger to fit in my insoles purchased from Target. I’m so glad I did because the insoles make them provide the support they lack.

I walked around them while I was on vacation and can vouch that with the insert they are relatively comfortable. However, the back of the heel area does rub a bit on my left Achilles tendon. I feel with time, this will stretch out and not be so tight in that area. It’s only on my left side too. My right side doesn’t bother me as much.

Also, the toe box isn’t as narrow as some flats. However, it still pinches my toes and after walking all day in them, my toes were a bit sore. Again, I think once I break them in, they will become more comfortable. Having the inserts really provides that extra support that flats don’t. So if you do decide to purchase them, I highly suggest you also get the insert. You can also switch the insert into other shoes you have.

I returned the FitFlop SHUV because one size was bigger than the other. And I also bought them one size too large.

Thanks for reading!

Love, Sutivi
