Know someone who loves pilates, but you have no clue what pilates actually entails? Do you need to give your Pilates-loving person a gift? Look no further!
Below, I share some ideas on gifts for Pilates lovers. You can decide whether to use this guide to choose one gift or more and create the ultimate gift set for your Pilates-loving friend!
This post is all about gifts for Pilates lovers.

Everyone Needs Socks
If they love Pilates, whether that’s mat, Lagree, Reformer, or more, they most definitely will need socks. But it’s not just any kind of socks. They will need special socks for sure, and it’s usually the kind with non-slip grips at the bottom.
Before, socks with grips at the bottom for Pilates, Yoga, or Barre were usually no-show style socks with the option of being strappy.
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of non-slip pilates crew socks in adorable styles that no longer resemble the free oversized grip socks you get at the hospital. I share a couple of classic traditional Pilates socks, as well as fun and cute ones, in the widget below!
Can I Get A Towel?
Whether your person is a Mat Pilates lover or a Reformer Pilates lover, everyone can still use a towel. The key is getting the right towel.
If they practice Mat Pilates, then perhaps a full towel that can be laid over their mat would be helpful. However, if they practice on a Reformer, then a full towel would kind of be useless, but a small towel would come in handy.
Actually, a small towel would come in handy for both. Because who doesn’t need a small towel to wipe their sweat off with? Check out some of my choices in the widget below.
Another Water Bottle? Why, yes!
Now, a water bottle is definitely a necessity. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing Pilates, Yoga, Barre, or simply going to the gym. EVERYONE needs to stay hydrated.
The best way to stay hydrated is to have a handy-dandy water bottle. Especially one that can take a beating or two. Because let’s face it, we need something that can handle a little drop or tip to the side.
Having one that keeps your water cool is also a plus. If you’re huffing and puffing, taking a sip of cold water is such a delightful treat! Below, I created a widget of some popular water bottles that have stood the test of time, so you don’t have to search through the exhaustive list of coveted water bottles.
What’s In Your Bag?
Now, at first, I didn’t think carrying a bag to a workout class was necessary, but was I wrong?! There were so many times I wished I had carried a lip balm, SPF, or, at the very least, some tissue.
Thankfully, my girlfriend gifted me with a wristlet one Christmas ago that I bring with me to every workout class now.
It’s small enough to bring to the workout room with me and not take up so much space. But it’s also big enough to carry a small tube of SPF, lip balm, a pack of tissues, my keys, ID, phone, and clean Pilates socks.
My daughter, on the other hand, brings a quilted shoulder bag with her. In it, she carries her face wash necessities, like skin care products and a couple of haircare products, to freshen up with after class.
Whatever your Pilates-loving person needs, you can find the right bag for them that fits their lifestyle. Below, I’ve rounded up a variety of bags for you to choose from. Because everyone (even those who didn’t think they needed a bag) could use one to hold even their most basic essentials like keys, phone, and ID all in one.
Fit Check
Want to splurge on something they could totally use? I don’t know about you, but when it comes to workout clothes, this is something I rarely buy. Why? Because it can get expensive.
If you want them to feel special, get them a Pilates outfit. This is something they can definitely use. Just make it cute! Because when you look good, you feel good.
And who doesn’t want to look their best and feel their best? I mean, that’s why we do Pilates, too, right? I’ve listed some of mine and my daughter’s favorite workout clothes in the widget below for you to check out.
Hair Up Or Down? That Is The Question
This may be something that is commonly overlooked. My daughter was the one (she’s a Pilates junky) who brought hair accessories to my attention.
We both have long hair (hers is a lot thicker than mine). I usually tied my hair up during class. Always needing to fix it in the middle of class.
Every time I looked over at my daughter, her hair was always so sleek in her updo. No sight of a strand or wisp of hair in her face. I, on the other hand, kept blowing hair away from my face that fell out of my ponytail or distracting myself from a position to swipe a lost strand out of the way.
In Pilates, we do a lot of poses that require us to lie on our backs. So putting our hair up so that it doesn’t get in the way when we lie down is essential. My daughter, who was on the hunt for the perfect hair clip, kept this in mind.
She likes to roll her hair up into a high bun and clip it with a flower claw. She likes the flower claw because it’s strong enough to hold her long, thick hair, but small enough to clip it high and out of the way when she lies on her back.
This is a trick I now utilize in class. I have one less thing to think about when I’m working out and sweating.
Check out my daughter’s favorite flower claw clip (now my favorite too) by clicking here!
No matter the budget, whether that’s $5 to $50, you should definitely be able to find gifts for Pilates lovers in this blog post. Below, I created another widget of all my top choices of the items mentioned above. Be sure to check it out!
