Welcoming Wine

Make it a wine tasting event (as long as everyone is over 21 years old)! You can either supply 4 or 5 different bottles of wine (depending on how many people are coming) and share each bottle with your friends. Or you can have each quest bring their own bottle of wine and share amongst one another.

If you like, you can also tell each guest to bring only white or only red. Make it specific or make it random! It’s totally up to you and your friends.

Either way the wine gets brought in, be sure you have enough wine glasses for a wine-tasting situation. If there are 4 bottles of wine, make sure each guest will have 4 wine glasses. But don’t worry if you don’t have enough wine glasses.

If that’s the case, have each guest either finish their glass or dump their wine down the sink or into a bucket, as they do at actual wine tastings.

Need some cute wine glass ideas? Below are some cute plastic ones for this Valentine’s Day.

Movie Moment

You can also combine wine night with movie night. Have a rom-com fest with the ladies. Decide on which movies you want to watch together beforehand. It can be random movies back-to-back or a series, like Twilight. Whichever you decide, be sure to have snacks to enjoy as you all watch together.

You can also have fun with it by creating a theme around the movie of your choice. Did someone say Twilight? When hosting, you can offer sweets that play into that theme. Like red velvet cupcakes or chocolate-dipped strawberries. Red can symbolize both blood and Valentine’s Day.

Want to make it a rom-com night? Provide ring pops, sashes to wear, or tiaras and flowers. Be creative and think outside the box!

Have all of your guests wear pink or red pajamas. Making sure they keep cute and cozy in mind! Victoria’s Secret pajamas are a favorite of mine. Right now, they have some really cute ones for Valentine’s Day. I also suggest looking for deals with Victoria’s Secret because you can most likely get some pajamas when they’re on sale.

Polyglot Potluck or Sweet Selections

You can include the 2 mentioned above with a polyglot potluck, too. Make it international! Have each guest bring in cuisines from different ethnicities. Or you can supply the main course and have your guests bring different desserts. So you can make a sweet night out of it. You can either do a theme by choosing a type of dessert like cookies, cakes, or candies, or even ice cream. Have each guest bring their favorites from one of the categories you choose.

Want to host without having your guests contribute? Other Galentines Day ideas at home can include a game night!

Below I listed a few that might be fun for you and your friends. Don’t want to buy any games or have any on hand? Then keep reading…

Galentine’s Games

You can play games like Imposter. Where you assign one player as the Imposter, and everyone else will know what the secret word is. There are usually two rounds. Each person will go around and provide a hint to the secret word.

For instance, if the word is grapes, then the first player (if they’re not the imposter) will say an example like fruit. The next player might say purple, and the third player might say green. When it’s the imposter’s turn, they will need to pick up on these context clues and provide a clue as well. It gets really hard for the imposter if they’re first to go.

At the end of round two, you’ll count to three, and everyone will point at who they think is the imposter. It’s a super fun group game to play that’s totally free. There are two ways you can play. You can either click on this link here to assign the imposter and provide the word.

Or another option, if you don’t want to use the link, is to get small pieces of paper and write down the same word x amount of times (based on how many players there are). However, remember to assign one person as the imposter. This method also usually means that one person who creates the word and assigns the imposter can’t play just because they already know the word and may become the imposter.

If the imposter can guess the word before the end of round two, they can blurt it out at anytime. This would indicate that they won the game.

The reason I provided the paper version as an option is in case you don’t have access to the internet when playing this game. The second option is usually a game that’s played during camping trips with my family.

The cool thing with imposter is that you can have fun with your words. So if it’s with a bunch of your friends for Valentine’s Day, make it a spicy game of Imposter. This way, the clues can be fun and exciting for you and your friends.

Paint Party

You can also provide your guests with art supplies and make it a paint party! Some Galentines Day ideas at home include painting canvas tote bags, canvas boards, or even coasters. Below, I’ve linked some supplies you can get all from Michael’s.

I thought of coasters or tote bags because they can be useful for people. The canvas board is something that can inspire creativity. Pick one and make a fun night out of it! Or choose all three! Either way, it will be a fun way to connect and expand everyone’s imagination.

Plus, you can pair painting with wine to make it even more fun for everyone. No drinkers in the house? No problem, you can make Valentine’s Day mocktails, which will also be fun since this, too, can inspire creativity.

Lost for what to paint? Spice it up and pick a fun Valentine’s Day theme. Or create different painting topics and put them in a hat for people to draw out of. Some fun examples can include love, animals, Cupids, or candy hearts with playful messages.

Make it naughty and make a theme of sex toys. Let your imagination go wild. But whatever you choose, just remember to have fun!

Don’t want to think about painting? Supply some coloring books and make it a coloring night instead. It’s super therapeutic and calming if you all need a chill night.

Swapping Styles

You can also take this opportunity to do a clothing swap. You and your friends can gather all of your nice clothing that you’ve been meaning to sell or donate, and do a swap. This swap can also include beauty products that didn’t work for you but are still relatively new and in good condition.

Make it a fun event! You and your friends can treat it like a fashion show. Have each person wear their items and strut down a makeshift catwalk to showcase what they are willing to give away.

Whether you decide to do one or all of the ideas listed above, be sure to let me know how your Galentine’s Day went below!
