Even though Mother’s Day isn’t until another three months, let’s be real: time flies! It’s better to prepare now than wait until later to get your mom a gift. After all, it’s the thought that counts, and you need time to be thoughtful in what you pick for her.
As a mom myself, I’d like to think I know what most moms would want. Here, I share my list of what I consider to be top Mother’s Day Gift Ideas.

The first on the list for top Mother’s Day gift ideas may be cliche, but it’s no other than a purse. Longchamp has a great selection of purses at a variety of prices.
Not only does Longchamp offer a great variety of prices, but its purses are also super durable and long-lasting.
My girlfriends and I purchased matching Longchamp purses when one of them visited Paris over ten years ago. It was an affordable option when thinking of something signature from France.
I have battered and abused my Longchamp purse, and let me tell you, it is still in great condition. It barely has marks on it. This is also a great option for new moms to use as a prettier alternative to a diaper bag.
This great, timeless piece also comes in such a beautiful range of colors. You can definitely find something that will suit your mom. Even if she’s not much of a purse person, their simple design blends classic style with functionality.
The second of top Mother’s Day gift ideas without breaking the bank but keeping with the luxury theme is my tried and true Dior Addict Lip Glow lip balm. Check out the different shades available here.

I love this lip balm and have gone through multiple tubes. It is a bit pricey for a lip balm, but that’s what makes it an even better gift because it’s something your mom may not want to splurge o,n but you can for her. It keeps lips hydrated and provides a beautiful color on any skin tone. If your mom isn’t already a fan, she definitely will be after you gift her with this.

When you think of gifts, bedding is usually not on the list, but everyone can always use an extra pair of well-made and comfortable bedding.
Does your mom love skincare? Here are two skincare devices I use and love. The first I purchased for myself years ago and still swear by it to this day. It’s the Personal Microderm Classic – Microdermabrasion Tool. You can purchase it from Ulta by clicking here. This is a great at-home tool to get smoother and more youthful-looking skin! It’s a great way to exfoliate skin and promote cell turnover.
The other facial device was gifted to me by my daughter, and I, too, love this one! It’s the NuFACE Trinity+ & Effective Lip and Eye Attachment. This one is super expensive. In my opinion, it’s worth it. If your mom has or is starting to develop jowls and wants to improve them without spending tons of money on in-office procedures, this is a good alternative.
Another retailer that, in my opinion, is underrated but has such a great selection is Kohl’s. We have a Kohl’s nearby, and I love it. It’s never busy, and whenever I go in to do an Amazon drop-off, I always find something nice and on sale. I never buy anything full-price there.

I like their options because if your mom is a gold girlie, they have pieces that are 18k gold over silver and solid sterling silver selections for those who aren’t gold girlies.
My daughters told me that if I’m not purchasing solid gold, I should look for gold pieces that are over silver and not brass or copper. They said it is less likely to tarnish when it’s gold over silver versus other metals.
If your mom isn’t a jewelry person, the great thing about Kohl’s is that they sell everything from clothes to jewelry; they even have Sephora and household items. Again, you can check out Kohl’s selection here. Kohl’s always has great sales.
I usually don’t like getting gifts for my kitchen since I have limited space, but what I would welcome is a nice ice machine.
Actually, I take that back. Thinking back to the gifts my daughters got me for the kitchen, they are usually my most used items. For example, an ice machine would be great if your mom likes making iced coffee or drinks. Here’s one from Walmart at a great price.
The other kitchen gift that has been well-loved by me was a Nutribullet (my daughter eventually upgraded me to a Vitamix after 6 years of using my Nutribullet every single day).
The great thing about a Nutribullet is that it doesn’t take up a lot of space. If your mom’s kitchen is limited in space, too, a Nutribullet would be a great gift idea. I used this to make green shakes every morning. My daughter recently bought one on sale for herself from Kohl’s. I’ve linked it here for you to check out.
Another kitchen item my kids bought me that is also highly used is my SodaStream. Again, Kohl’s has a great selection. Check it out here. I’m telling you, Kohl’s is where it’s at. It is such an underrated retailer, and it has such great deals!
Other top Mother’s Day gift ideas are air purifiers. Now, this is something I actually asked my daughters to get me for Mother’s Day. Air purifiers aren’t the cheapest but it’s definitely helpful to have in your home, especially if you have pets or allergies.
You can find the exact one I use here. I like this one because it’s an air purifier and humidifier in one without the high price tag of a Dyson. When I was looking for a more affordable option than the Dyson, I did my research and found this to be the closest.
I can say this one linked here works great! What I also like about this all-in-one is that I can use regular sink water (as suggested in the directions) instead of buying distilled water when I use the humidifier.
Now, this may not be a top Mother’s Day gift idea just because it’s not really fun. And your mom may feel some type of way about it. But if she’s anything like me, then perhaps she would love it. Okay, okay, enough with the subliminal. I’m talking about a vacuum!
Hear me out, I have five! And they all serve a different purpose, or shall I say vacuum a different purpose? Lol Anyway, like I said, these vacuums have different purposes and range from $20 to $500! But they all make my life easier.

Now, I say this sincerely: a vacuum may not be the best gift just because she may be tired of cleaning and although it may make it easier for her, it’s not really something special that she can enjoy.
I enjoy my SodaStream because I love sparkling water. My air purifier helps my allergies, which also helps me sleep better.
The only thing a good vacuum would do is make cleaning easier for her. Something I’m sure she could use a break from. If you want to be considerate of your mom, perhaps one of the top Mother’s Day gift ideas would be for you to clean for her.
